Many women who are trying to deal with the pain of knowing that they have killed their child by abortion are seeking peace of mind and forgiveness. Often they do not want to admit that their decision was wrong, a sin, and so they try to justify their actions and find a counselling group or course that, whilst meaning well, only causes more harm if it endorses the woman’s justification. They use all the secular psychology that they have been taught to try and understand what has happened to the person’s psyche or inner self, whilst avoiding the truth that the person has actually turned from the Creator God and ‘gone their own way’.

All the counselling courses in the world will never solve the problem of the person until that person acknowledges that peace from sin can only be found through repentance of that sin and seeking the forgiveness of the Lord Jesus. ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only son (Jesus) so that whoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.’ This verse is taken from the Bible’s Gospel of John, chapter 3 and verse 16. It is the most well known of all Bible verses and sums up what everyone needs to know to find the peace of mind we are all seeking. It is a spiritual solution we need to seek, for what is ultimately a spiritual problem that has manifested itself in the natural.

Immediately before Jesus ascended into Heaven He told His disciples that repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations – Luke chapter 24 verse 47. Nobody can repent of their sins until they are able to admit that their actions or in-actions were wrong. If Jesus, the Son of God, said that forgiveness of sins follows repentance, then why should we think that forgiveness can come without repenting of the sin of killing our children by abortion?

The Bible states in 2 Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

If Christians who are named after Jesus Christ, claim to be God’s people, then surely we should all humble ourselves and pray and seek His face. We should repent, or turn from our wicked ways of allowing women to kill their children – offering them to Molech the god of child sacrifice. Then – and that is a very important word – then the Lord will hear from Heaven – at this present time until His people humble themselves, pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways He, the Lord God, has stopped listening to us, allowing us to continue in our sin. Then He will forgive our sin.

  • The sin of choosing to kill our children by abortion.
  • The sin of doctors actually carrying out the operations that tear children from the womb.
  • The sin of ‘people of faith’ turning a blind eye to 500 unborn children daily in the UK being destroyed.
  • The sin of school workers, whether teachers, counsellors or school nurses or whoever, ‘educating’ our children that it is acceptable to kill other children, albeit unborn.
  • The sin of allowing our families to be destroyed because we cannot allow another of God’s blessings to come into this world.
  • The sin of our politicians for removing laws that protect life, and introducing laws that destroy life.
  • The sin of leaving mothers of dead babies to suffer alone because it was ‘their choice’.
  • The sin of silence and apathy to the whole issue that denies its existence that would otherwise take us out of our comfort zone.
  • The sin of promotion of a ‘gospel of works’ instead of the gospel of repentance and forgiveness found only in Jesus.
  • The sin of promoting the killing of children by abortion worldwide

The list of sins could and does go on but the Lord says He will forgive the sin and then He says He will heal their land. What a promise! What a God who wants to forgive and heal if we will obey Him. This is the choice that we have if we want to see healing to our nation, and especially to the individuals who are seeking the peace but do not know where to find it. Action is needed. Not writing to or lobbying MPs or having coffee mornings to raise funds for charity or any other ‘social action’. Whilst these actions are not ‘wrong’ they are not what the Lord has told us to do. Only through prayer to the Lord Jesus, and declaring to others, that the only solution to the destruction caused by the killing of our children by abortion is found in Christ alone.

To achieve healing to the nations we must obey the Commandments of God including the sixth commandment that says ‘Thou shalt not kill’. Being ashamed of telling someone the truth that the killing of children by abortion is wrong, is a sin, and instead telling them what they want to hear does not solve any problems nor gives any peace. Now is the time for the killing to stop, but it will only stop once Christians humble themselves, pray and seek His face. This and only this way will the Lord answer our prayers to heal the degenerate land we currently live in.

This may sound like stating the obvious, but to some prayer is not a natural occurance.
Many people may never have consciously prayed in their lives. Or maybe they have only ever said ‘set’ prayers. Praying does not have to be done in a church or any other religious establishment. The best place is somewhere quiet when you have some time and are alone – perhaps your bedroom or your favourite armchair. You may find it useful to have a Bible and a notepad and pen to hand and to ensure that your phone is switched off. There are various Bible verses mentioned on this site that you may wish to consider that could help you direct your thoughts. You may find it painful, but try and recall in your own mind what happened. If it helps, write down your thoughts. Don’t think you have to say the ‘right’ words. There are none. Just speak to the Lord Jesus in your own words, telling Him you are sorry for what you did. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins (wrongdoing) and to cleanse and heal you. Ask Him to reveal to you other ways you may have sinned against Him so they, too, can be confessed and forgiveness sought. Don’t worry if you cry. That is all part of the healing from the Lord. Prayer and life is ongoing.
When you are out and about your daily life, you may come across events that trigger a memory. When you are able to, bring that to the Lord and ask Him to heal you from that.
At all times be truthful to yourself. The Lord knows everything about you so don’t try and hide anything from Him.
